“My name is Sandra Green, and I am Senior Client Solutions Manager for TakeTwo”.
About me
“I have an extensive career within the travel management sector with various leading TMCs such as Ickenham Business Travel, Chambers and CTM. Chris Thelen and I have been colleagues and friends since the early 90’s and he has been a constant source of motivation and inspiration for me. Chris is fond of reminding me that many years ago I interviewed him for a job within the travel industry, that I subsequently turned him down for.
I love the variety of the travel industry and certainly no two days are the same.
I live in a lovely village in Oxfordshire with my Jack Russell Terrier called Mia, near to the famous hotel and restaurant Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, which has become a favourite spot of mine to visit for a treat, with friends and family. I have a passion for sport – I played County level hockey and netball – but my favourite is Dressage. My horse Abbey and I used to train with Olympic medallist, Carl Hester MBE, who’s career I follow with interest.
What I do
“My role at TakeTwo is extensive and touches almost every part of the business. My priority is to understand the client requirements and the challenges that they face within the business, whether that is simplifying the booking process, cost control, Corporate Social Responsibility or Duty of Care. By working in partnership with the travel buying team and tailoring the travel programme together, I believe we can create a travel programme to exceed both their and their travellers’ expectations. It’s all about trust and having the confidence that TakeTwo is acting in the client’s best interest, working as an extension of their business rather than as simply an external supplier. As a relatively new TMC we have a unique opportunity to do things differently – so our priorities are simplifying the complicated, preparing for the unexpected and offering value in everything we do.
I get real job satisfaction from successfully implementing a travel programme for a complex and challenging account and am proud to say that many of my clients, both old and new, are now friends, some that I have had over many years.”
Looking forward
“Of course, there are challenges that the travel industry needs to address such as Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and consistency of content, but in the short-term my priority is a return to normality. The past two years have been a challenge for everyone, in so many ways.
“Nobody realised how the simple joy of meeting friends and family or planning a trip away are so fundamental to our well-being. So, I look forward to soon being able to jump on a plane to see my best friend in Florida”.
